We test our site on desktop, tablet and mobile devices. It is usable at resolutions from 320x480 up to 1024 x 768 (or greater).


You can access our site with IE9 and up, Firefox 3.6 and up, Chrome v 11 and up, Safari and Opera. If you are using a test or ‘BETA’ version of a browser and experience problems, please report these to the company supporting the browser so they can make changes for future or live versions of the browser.


We are conscious that there is an almost infinite range of devices being used to access However, we test on the following selected devices and strive to ensure all content is working on them. This list is constantly monitored and updated.

How to listen to

Some operating systems also have built-in accessibility features that can read text aloud or magnify parts of the screen. If you have your own screen reading software, you should find it works well on We suggest if your software has a ‘Forms Mode’, that you leave it turned off.

Speed of the website

We know that a fast website is important to you and we work hard to make ours as fast as possible, but there are factors affecting response speeds which are outside our control. They include your connection speed, the performance of your Internet Service Provider, and the amount of traffic on the Internet at the time.

Plug-ins and helpers

Plug-ins and helpers are not required for key functions on our site, but it assumes you have:

  • Flash capability – usually installed with the browser
  • Adobe Reader for .pdf files
