Why has my transaction been cancelled?

Avios may be cancelled for various reasons, including:

  • You have returned your purchased product to the retailer

  • There has been a payment failure or failure to meet the retailer's credit check requirements

  • New registration was not deemed genuine

  • The last click before visiting the retailer's page was not the Avios shopping website.

  • The transaction does not meet the retailer's terms and conditions

  • A coupon code not listed on the British Airways online store was used, making the transaction ineligible for Avios

  • The retailer site cookies were not accepted

  • Changes were made to your purchase which meant fewer Avios were awarded

In these cases, your original transaction may be cancelled and your new Avios amount credited to your account.
