Who can buy Avios?

Anyone with a British Airway Club account that is at least 18 years old, and either has an account balance of at least one Avios, or has a balance of zero Avios and has collected or redeemed at least one Avios in the last three years.

Please note: Due to local legal requirements, it’s not possible to purchase, gift or subscribe to Avios while living in or travelling to Germany. You can still collect Avios as normal on your other travel and daily spending
